Volunteers needed for a fun and valuable MLK Day Project, January 15th, 2024.
Magnuson P-Patch has twelve waist-high wooden garden boxes designed for gardeners with disabilities. The cedar boxes are 10 feet long, four feet wide, and three feet tall. We have a wait list for gardeners requesting these boxes. We’ll be building two additional boxes in the same area. If time permits, we’ll also replace one or more existing boxes.
For this project, we’ll be using hand tools to assemble and install cedar garden boxes, filling the boxes with soil, and preparing them for spring planting. These boxes will greatly enhance the ability of our gardeners with mobility challenges to enjoy a garden plot at waist level.
Magnuson P-Patch will provide all materials, tools, refreshments, and supplies. And plenty of really strong French roast!
